Dinner no. 2 - a transfrontier co-operation...

T'was a wild, cold and rainy November night. Hedgehogs roamed the garden, happy finally to have their own glutton feast, while birds dreamt of the tweet in store for them (you'll be pleased to hear they've discovered the bird table!!). As the ecological lights burned dimly (or oddly, depending on your POV), Gluttons huddled around the dining table, eager to tuck into the feast that awaited them:

Other ideas

  • periodically there will be meetings of the Glutton Club's sub-group, the Pudding Club, where there will be a general orgy of all things pudding-related;
  • we could introduce the idea of having a "Food Hero" at each dinner. At each dinner one person (maybe the host) could tell us who is their food hero and why. This could be a food writer, chef or food or wine producer;
  • we could have a "surprise tasting" at each dinner;
  • we could organise outings such as wine tastings, visits to cheese makers, market gardeners, food markets, etc.
